Meet Rachel Joseph

Rachel Joseph is a Physician Assistant here at Destin Plastic Surgery who is found treating patients with an array of dermal fillers and neurotoxins, running the IV lounge, operating with Dr. Burden, performing laser hair removal, and seeing patients at their post op visits.  She grew up in Franklin, TN (right outside of Nashville) and attended the University of Tennessee for undergrad. Rachel then received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Samford University in Birmingham where she excelled in her courses and rotations and received the Outstanding Character Award for her graduating class. Rachel now lives in Santa Rosa Beach and will be getting married in 2024. Outside of work, you’ll likely find her hosting game nights, enjoying the beach and paddle boarding. If you’re local, you’ll catch her eating at The Bay, La Crema or Mimmos Italian on a Friday night! She enjoys spending her time off with her fiancé, Jared, as well as both of their friends and family. She loves to travel, hike and be immersed in new cultures.

While at work, Rachel is under the supervision of Dr. Burden and has been formally trained in injectables by Allergan Medical Institute, Galderma and Revance. She continues to seek further training at weekend seminars and master Injector courses. She strives to stay at the forefront of new advances and procedures in neurotoxins and dermal fillers. She takes pride in the time she spends with patients to give her expert opinion as well as make sure the patients desire is understood. Rachel has also started the IV lounge at Destin Plastic Surgery. She operates the Alma Soprano Ice laser for hair removal. She would be more than happy to see you for a free in person or over the phone consultation. You will also see her down in the OR with Dr. Burden in surgery during abdominoplasties, mastopexies, brachioplasties, capsulectomies and thigh lifts. You might see her for a post op visit as well.
